It is such a great moment, even amidst, all the noise around us, to focus and search our hearts to see if we can find where the hand of God is in all this global quaking and refocusing of human priorities.
The only true and trusted source to find out what is really happening, is to turn to the Word of God.
Isaiah 41:4
“Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.”
Isaiah 48:12 -14
“Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.”
Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.”
Isaiah 43:10 -14
Can I encourage us to read from Isaiah 41 – 48, for in those selected discourses, God has clearly explained his determination to the people of the world who have forgotten him, and he tells us what He is doing before they come to pass, so that when they do come to pass we may know, in advance, that God who is the architect, told us, and so we will believe and fear before him.
Brother’s and Sisters, we have invited people to Church and they have not come, when have preached and they have not responded, we have fasted and their hearts remained hardened, they have despised the saints and treated us as dung: they have blasphemed the most Holy, so shall the Lord maintain silence for ever: He shall not!
There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
Isaiah48:22
The answer to the present crisis is no mystery. In all disasters, tragedies and loss, some will curse the Almighty, but surely some will come to call upon the Blessed name of the Lord, and so this thing is for their salvation.
Let us utilise the Word of God to encourage each other.
The Lord is our light and salvation.
